By being one of the few financial institutions to sign the United Nations Environment Program's Declaration, BMCE Bank clearly demonstrates its commitment to the environment.
This commitment is concretely reflected in actions carried out through the Medersat.com program or projects initiated in partnership with local communities or NGOs, to meet identified needs in the field.
Restoration of the Exotic Gardens of Sidi Bouknadel.
- Transformed into a public park in 1981, the gardens deteriorated due to a lack of maintenance. Their extraordinary wealth and diversity of vegetation were threatened.
- The BMCE Bank Foundation, in partnership with the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, committed to restoring this national heritage to turn into a place for environmental education, cultural tourism, and applied botany for the management of plant diversity.
- On a smaller scale, 62 educational gardens are set up in Medersat.com public schools.
Protection of beaches
The BMCE Bank Foundation carries out cleanliness and animation campaigns on beaches by providing the necessary technical and financial assistance to ensure the sustainability of these actions.
