Morocco is pursuing an ambitious plan for the development of renewable energy. This is evidenced by the commissioning at the end of 2014 of one of the largest wind farms in Africa in Tarfaya and the commissioning of the solar park in Ouarzazate, which will be one of the largest in the world.

The BMCE Bank Foundation for Education and the Environment is contributing to the national program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

• The BMCE Bank Foundation is conducting a campaign to raise awareness and take action against vehicle air pollution: training in pollution control, random roadside checks.
• Schools are equipped with the latest generation of photovoltaic solar systems.
