National Partners
The Ministry of National Education
In 2000, Fondation BMCE BANK for Education and the Environment signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of National Education for the construction of educational institutions in rural areas, the objective of which was to offer schooling and non-remunerated educational activities in the pre-school, primary and non-formal education and training domains for those in the target communities. Both actors fully appreciate that this partnership aims to develop educational research and to expand the network of institutions that specialise in language teaching, particularly of Amazigh. The strengthening of this partnership was confirmed by the signing of two other agreements in 2005 and 2010, the objectives of which were to bolster joint efforts in line with expertise they had available for the consolidation and expansion of Medersat.com schools network and also to provide support to ensure the success of its goals. An additional aim was to unite efforts for the development of teaching-related innovation in the fields of language teaching, science and new educational technologies.
National Office for Water and Electricity (ONEE)
In 2000, the BMCE BANK Foundation for Education and the Environment and ONEE signed an agreement to connect the Medersat.com network schools and villages to the electricity grid (or to solar panels) and to the drinking water network.
The Ministry of Agriculture
In 2002, Fondation BMCE BANK signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture for the contribution to awareness campaigns of douar inhabitants and to encourage child schooling — in particular schooling for girls from rural areas. This was to be achieved via local area supervisors and sought to provide schools with teaching and learning gardens with plants and seeds in order to raise awareness of environmental protection.
THE Ministry of health
In 2002, Fondation BMCE BANK signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Health to provide health care for pupils in school areas via standardised medical examinations at the start of each year. The aim is to provide health monitoring in schools and in the local surroundings, to offer screening for contagious diseases and help in information expansion, education and communication activities for douar inhabitants in areas where Medersat.com network schools are located.
The Development Agency for East Morocco
A framework agreement between these two institutions was signed in November 2006 and its aim is to deliver socio-economic development projects within the Agency's scope of intervention. In 2007 and 2012, this partnership was developed by construction and equipment co-financing for the two Medersat.com schools in Figuig/ Figuig Province and Bni Chiker/ Nador Province respectively.
The Ministry of Culture
In 2011, Fondation BMCE BANK confirmed a sponsorship agreement with the Ministry of Culture for financial support of the International Book Fair (SIAL) which takes places each year in Casablanca.
INDH (National Initiative for People Development)
In 2006, Fondation BMCE BANK signed a partnership agreement with the Provincial Committee of the INDH in Mohammedia Province for phased construction and equipment provision for 34 pre-school classrooms in public schools that are located in the province's urban and suburban areas. The aim was to improve early-childhood pre-school access for underprivileged children.
Association TAWADA pour le microcrédit
In January 2009, a tripartite agreement was signed between Caja Mediterraneo (CAM), the Tawada Association for Micro-credit and the BMCE Bank Foundation for Education and the Environment to release funds and micro-credit grants to destitute inhabitants so that the Association could develop income-generating activities in the douars that house Medersat.com schools.
Méditel
In 2005, the BMCE BANK Foundation for Education and the Environment entered into a partnership with Méditel, which funded the development and restoration of the Bouknadel exotic botanical gardens.
The National Zoological Garden
In 2013, the BMCE BANK Foundation subsidised the introduction of Atlas lions to the new Rabat Zoological Garden and has been providing care for them since then.
