The teaching of Amazigh

In its network of Medersat.com schools, the BMCE BANK Foundation has adopted a linguistic program in which the Amazigh language plays an important role in the child's learning process.
Since the early 2000s, the foundation has been making great efforts to continuously promote the Amazigh language and culture by :

• Generalizing the teaching and evaluation of Amazigh at all levels (from pre-school to 6th grade).
• Designing and publishing Amazigh textbooks.
• Creating a pedagogical kit in Tifinagh for pre-school.
• Designing and developing two multimedia didactic tools for interactive learning of Amazigh.
• Developing a fundamental monolingual dictionary in Tifinagh.
• Equipping school libraries with documentary resources.
• Organizing several initial and continuing training sessions for educators in Amazigh language and didactics.

These efforts for the Amazigh language and culture have enabled the Foundation to participate in national and international meetings and share these experiences, especially during the following events :

• Participation in the first international employment and trades Fair (SIEM) Casablanca May 2007.
• Presentation of the BMCE BANK Foundation's unique and unprecedented experience in teaching Amazigh at the international symposium on Amazigh, organized in Agadir by the Ministry of Education (Agadir 28/29 March 2008).
• Obtaining the 2nd prize for the best Amazigh software at the National Forum for Innovative Teachers (Rabat March 2008).
• Participation in the first days of the International Forum on Amazigh Language and Culture organized by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences of AGADIR on April 25 and 26, 2008 under the theme: "Amazigh streams and research perspectives."
• Participation in the World Summit on Educational Technology "GETS 2008" organized by SMART TECHNOLOGIES in Egypt (Cairo from May 6 to 10, 2008).
